Construction Begins on New Facility for DB Schenker

Trammell Crow Company and Clarion Partners Break Ground on 150,000 BTS Facility for DB Schenker at Kenswick AirFreight & LogisticsCentre

HOUSTON, TX – September 3, 2014 Trammell Crow Company, one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate developers and investors, and joint venture partner Clarion Partners, a leading U.S. real estate investment manager, announce they have broken ground on a new facility for DB Schenker, one of the world’s leading providers of transportation and logistics solutions. DB Schenker signed a lease for the entire office/warehouse building totaling 150,000 SF, with a lay down area in excess of three acres. The building will be located in Kenswick AirFreight & LogisticsCentre, a multi-phase industrial business park developed by Trammell Crow Company and Clarion Partners near Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The building includes 26,500 square feet of office space and 123,500 square feet of warehouse space with the ability to expand by approximately 25,000 square feet. The project is situated on a 13-acre parcel and features over three acres of outside storage, 28’ clear height, ESFR sprinkler system, and 130’-210’ deep truck courts. The site provides convenient access to US 59, Beltway 8, FM 1960, and the IAH CargoCenter. Munson Kennedy Partnership was hired to design the project and Rosenberger Construction is the general contractor.

Kenswick AirFreight & LogisticsCentre is one of several projects under a national industrial development program Trammell Crow Company and Clarion Partners have established that is focused on the development of new Class A, industrial buildings in targeted markets throughout the U.S.
