Trammell Crow Company (TCC), one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate developers and investors, announces that Andrew Mele has been promoted to Business Unit Leader for the firm’s Northeast Metro Business Unit (BU), effective April 1. In this role, Andrew will assume responsibility for all development and acquisition projects, sourcing new pursuits, finance and overall day-to-day operations of the BU, which has offices in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and develops office, industrial, healthcare, multifamily, senior living and mixed-use projects throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, parts of New York, Connecticut, and Delaware. Andrew will assume the BU Leader duties from Jeff Goggins, who will retire April 1 after an impressive 27-year career with TCC.

“Andrew has been a well-respected leader at Trammell Crow Company for a number of years. He has played a key role in building and expanding the NE Metro BU’s industrial practice, which is the most successful part of the BU’s business,” said Jeff Goggins “Andrew has recruited and led a team which has grown substantially under his leadership. He has a true knack for development and is highly regarded by his industry peers and partners. His hard work and strong reputation have helped the BU expand its client and capital partner relationships, and I am confident the business will continue to thrive under his leadership.”

A 30-year industry veteran, Andrew joined TCC in 2005. He has since been responsible for leading the BU’s industrial team which has developed more than 17.8 million square feet of industrial projects over the past seven years with a value of more than $1.5 billion. Andrew’s team has successfully executed the development of several notable build-to-suit and speculative projects throughout the Northeast, including the 1.2-million-square-foot Lehigh Valley Trade Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; the 1 million-square-foot Valley View Trade Center outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania; the three-building, 2.7-million-square-foot Cranbury Logistics Center in New Jersey; and the recently completed North Valley Trade Center, a 1,326,000-square-foot two-building industrial development in the Lehigh Valley.
