Trammell Crow Company (TCC), a leading global developer and investor in commercial real estate, has signed leases on office space in Frankfurt, Germany, and Vienna, Austria, as it continues to bolster its operations in Europe.
TCC has signed a lease with IWG, the world’s leading workspace provider, at Tower 185 in Frankfurt, which will be its second office in Germany after opening an office in the major port city of Hamburg in September 2021. In keeping with TCC’s commitment to the highest ESG standards throughout its operations and developments, the building is one of the first high-rise buildings in Europe to receive LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Meanwhile, TCC has signed a second office lease with IWG in DC Tower, Vienna, marking its first office in Austria. The building was one of the first Austrian office towers to be certified as a "Green Building" according to LEED in compliance with the energy and sustainability requirements of the EU Commission. In 2015, the certification of DC Tower as a "Green Building" with the highest status, Platinum, was successfully completed.
The new offices will help accommodate TCC’s growing team in Germany and Austria, overseen by head of German and Austrian logistics Mario Sander. Senior appointments to the team have included Marc Daiß as business development director, Lee-Willem Visavachaiwat as senior business development manager and Robert Dischereit as Director Construction and Project Management in autumn 2021.
The US-headquartered firm, which has developed or acquired 2,800 buildings valued at nearly $70 billion, recently acquired its first German site in Neuruppin near Berlin,and has entered into an exclusivity agreement on a second site. Trammell Crow Company’s European operations are now active in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.
