Experience

Tom Finan successfully manages a project from the initial planning stages through completion, with a dedicated focus on the development execution. Tom guides a team of Trammell Crow Company and brokerage professionals in securing leases at terms that maximize each asset’s value and returns and prepares them for profitable hold or exit strategies. His extensive development, transaction and ownership experience provide a unique insight into the strategic objectives of the property owners represented.

Since returning to Trammell Crow Company in 1998, Tom has developed 3.9 million square feet of office space in the DC metropolitan area, including 2.8 million square feet of highly secure facilities and 2.1 million square feet of LEED designated space. He has been involved in 9.0 million square feet of leases.

Tom is actively involved in the procurement of Federal Government tenants in buildings being, or to be, developed by Trammell Crow Company and all matters related to such transactions. He combines his broad based federal government leasing experience and extensive relationships with GSA and the brokerage community to successfully meet the budgetary constraints and special uses often needed by GSA tenants. Tom serves as a national product specialist for federal development and leasing. Most recently, he inked a 260,000 SF build-to-suit lease with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services in Irving, TX, and a 473,000 SF build-to-suit lease for the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, DC.
