High Street Residential Breaks Ground on Luxury Multifamily Development in Plano, Texas
December 6, 2021
The Dallas-Fort Worth office of High Street Residential (HSR), Trammell Crow Company’s residential subsidiary, and JV Partner Principal Real Estate Investors have broken ground on Legacy Square, a 363-unit multifamily development in Plano, Texas. The community will deliver the first units in late 2022, with the final completion slated for June 2023.
Legacy Square will feature a mix of apartments and townhomes available for rent, ranging in size from one- to three-bedrooms, with select units offering an added study. One-, two- and three-story townhomes will be available and will include attached private two-car garages and private yards or patios. The community will feature two amenity buildings, which will include a well-equipped fitness center, a clubroom, conference rooms, and a business center, complete with community accessible WiFi. Additional amenities include four acres of open space, including a great lawn courtyard with lounge seating and fire pits, and a resort-style pool with sunbathing shelves, water features, firepits and grilling areas.
“We are excited to begin work on this dynamic new development in Plano. Our goal for Legacy Square is to create a development that fits nicely into the surrounding neighborhood, while simultaneously creating an urban village of its own,” said Joel Behrens, Principal with HSR’s Dallas-Fort Worth office. “Legacy Square provides high-end amenities that are more expansive and park-like than traditional multifamily developments in the area. The direct access to Legacy Drive and Custer Road will also provide future residents great access to North Texas and the area’s major employment centers.”
Centrally located west of U.S. Highway 75 and with the Dallas North Tollway within easy reach, Legacy Square provides regional access to the Dallas CBD. The development is ideally placed for the North Texas region’s growing professional community, which includes Plano, Allen, McKinney, Richardson, and DFW Airport.
GFF Architects has been commissioned to design the project, while Andres Construction has been appointed the general contractor.
