Trammell Crow Company Expands MidAtlantic Operations to North Carolina

Team Will Focus on Growing Multifamily, Industrial, Office, and Life Sciences Platform in Major North Carolina Metros

Trammell Crow Company (TCC), one of the nation’s largest developers and investors in commercial real estate, has expanded its operations to North Carolina. The North Carolina team, which reports into TCC’s MidAtlantic Managing Director, Campbell Smith, will initially focus on multifamily, industrial, office, and life sciences development throughout major metros, including Charlotte and the Raleigh/Durham area.

Josh Dix, Principal, will relocate to Raleigh from TCC’s Washington, D.C. office to help grow High Street Residential’s (TCC’s residential subsidiary) multifamily and mixed-use business in North Carolina. Josh has been with TCC for over 10 years and has more than two decades of experience working on large-scale development projects in the MidAtlantic region.

Woody Coley, Senior Vice President, will be responsible for growing TCC’s industrial, office, and life sciences pipeline throughout North Carolina. Woody has been working with TCC to source new opportunities in North Carolina since 2018.  Previously, Woody spent 27 years with the firm in Florida, where he developed more than 2.4 million square feet of space across a variety of product types, including office and industrial.

Jennifer Keating Dix, Senior Vice President, will also be relocating from TCC’s Washington, D.C. office to Raleigh, where she will manage the construction process for active and future development projects. Jennifer has been with TCC for 22 years and has worked on a number of high-profile developments in the Mid-Atlantic region, including several large office and mixed-use projects.

TCC has extensive experience in the North Carolina market, having developed, acquired or invested in nearly seven million square feet of space across 67 projects between 1974 and 2013. Since unofficially re-entering the market in 2017, the firm has been actively engaged in a variety of projects, including industrial, residential, and mixed-use developments in the Charlotte and the Raleigh/Durham market areas.

TCC’s North Carolina operations will be based out of Industrious at Charter Square in downtown Raleigh.
