BDT & MSD Partners (“BDT & MSD”) and Trammell Crow Company (“TCC”), together with their partners The Summers Group, Gillon Property Group, and The Retail Connection, today unveiled an exclusive first look at The Lora, their highly anticipated luxury apartment tower, with leasing commencing this summer. Situated within the broader Knox Street development, a more than one-million-square-foot mixed-use destination, and located adjacent to the Katy Trail, the forthcoming Knox Street Park, and Knox Street’s dynamic mix of local and global shops and restaurants, The Lora introduces a distinctly elevated residential experience shaped by design, service, and connectivity to the surrounding neighborhood.

BDT & MSD and TCC assembled a world-class team to bring The Lora to life, enlisting acclaimed architecture and design firms Woods Bagot and Chad Dorsey Design to craft the property’s architecture and interiors.

“For The Lora, our vision was to express the character of Knox Street in a contemporary way, with warm and layered sophistication,” said Joel Behrens, Market Leader for TCC Dallas-Fort Worth. “It was important that we remain true to the place, while also delivering exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and lifestyle that today’s discerning residents appreciate most.”

Inspired by the site’s history along the historic Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad line, the 27-story tower is distinguished by its sculptural façade clad in warm, terracotta-toned precast concrete and bronze detailing, further expressed through generous arches that ground the building within Knox Street’s layered heritage.

Designed to emphasize light, air, and a seamless connection between indoors and out, the residences range from one to four bedrooms, spanning approximately 800 to more than 3,500 square feet. Interiors are defined by materials chosen for their warmth and character, while expansive picture frame windows invite natural light throughout. Private terraces in most homes frame sweeping sunrise and sunset views of Downtown Dallas, Highland Park, and beyond.

Curated to provide a comprehensive residential experience, The Lora will offer a full floor of indoor and outdoor lifestyle amenities spanning wellness, leisure, and gathering spaces designed by Dallas-based Chad Dorsey Design. Service further shapes a lifestyle that is both connected and personalized, with 24-hour reception and security, and a dedicated concierge offering priority access to the best of Knox Street, from sought-after dining reservations to curated shopping and cultural experiences.

“The Lora reflects a new kind of residential experience for Dallas, one that combines exceptional design, service, and walkability within one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods,” said Sabrina Gleizer, Partner at BDT & MSD. “What makes it especially compelling is how connected it feels to the broader energy of Knox Street, from the Katy Trail and park to the surrounding retail, dining, and hospitality experiences.”

The Lora is part of the larger Knox Street development, a more than one-million-square-foot mixed-use destination that will bring together residential, retail, office, hospitality, and public green space into one connected neighborhood. In addition to The Lora, the development will include 150,000 square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of retail, a half-acre park, and The Knox Hotel and Residences, operated by Auberge Collection, set to debut in late 2026.

Leasing at The Lora is led by Maria Dryden of Allie Beth Allman & Associates, and FirstService Residential will oversee the property's management and resident experience, bringing its hospitality-minded approach and operational expertise to the building.
