DENVER, CO –  Trammell Crow Company (TCC), along with partner Principal Real Estate Investors (PrinREI), announces that Crossroads Commerce Park (Crossroads), has been recognized as the 2017 Infill Project of the Year by the Urban Land Institute’s Colorado Chapter. At their Impact Awards Gala held Thursday evening at the United Club Level at Mile High Stadium, honoring “Leadership in Responsible Land Use”, ULI presented this award to TCC, EnviroFinance Group (EFG) and Adams County on behalf of their many partners and collaborators in this successful development.

“Crossroads Commerce Park has been a project in the making for decades, as it is built on the site of the Globeville smelter which operated from the 1880’s through 1986. Many neighbors, governmental entities and private remediation and development experts contributed to a successful strategy to prepare the site for a new role in our community,” said Bill Mosher, Senior Managing Director with TCC’s Denver office.

Some of the many organizations that have been integral in the evolution of the site include the remediation and horizontal development by Brownfield Partners and later EFG, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE), Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Adams County, the City & County of Denver and the Elyria-Swansea-Globeville Neighborhood Association.

Crossroads Commerce Park is now home to nearly 1 million square feet of Class A industrial buildings offering state of the art multi-tenant spaces as well as build-to-suit options for users. “This project shows the benefits of public/private cooperation and the foresight of many visionary companies working together to bring back to Globeville significant improvements to infrastructure and hundreds of jobs as well that benefit the community,” stated Ann Sperling, Senior Director with Trammell Crow Company.

Murray & Stafford is the general contractor and Ware Malcomb is the architect for CCP. The Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team of Mike Wafer, Tim D’Angelo, and Mike Wafer Jr. represent Trammell Crow Company and Principal in the leasing and marketing. Colorado Business Bank also has participated in financing three of the completed build-to-suit projects at Crossroads.
