Trammell Crow Company, developer of the Hub at Harvest Green, Houston’s newest upscale entertainment destination, announced today that Flix Brewhouse™, the world’s only combination first-run dine-in cinema and microbrewery, is slated as the Hub’s first entertainment anchor. The purchaser is an investment entity affiliated with Flix’s founder that plans to build and lease the cinema-brewery on a portion of the new 300,000-square-foot entertainment, dining and retail destination located at Grand Parkway and W. Airport Boulevard.

The Hub, opening for the Summer 2019 season, will feature the best in entertainment, dining and upscale retail in a warm, inviting and pedestrian-friendly setting. The development benefits from its strategic location at the entrance to Johnson Development’s Harvest Green residential community, and directly across from the Aliana residential community. Both Harvest Green and Aliana are widely recognized as two of the leading and fastest-growing master-planned communities in the country. In addition to the explosive housing growth in the area, the intersection has also become one of the hottest retail locations in Houston. More than 1.5 million square feet of retail is open or planned, including a new H-E-B and the newest Target prototype store in the U.S. The Hub’s entertainment district will provide the trade area with the better food and entertainment offerings not available elsewhere in the area.

The planned Flix Brewhouse is the chain’s new prototype theater, comprising 38,750 square feet and featuring nine auditoriums equipped with parabolic screens, state-of-the-industry digital audio and video (including immersive sound), and Flix’s proprietary luxury seating and sliding tabletops. Moviegoers will enjoy unobtrusive, in-theater service from a complete cooked-to-order menu as well as a broad selection of soft drinks and adult beverages, including a dozen signature Flix Brewhouse beers brewed on premises. The Hub location will have its own brewmaster and guests will enjoy the brewpub restaurant and patio with or without a movie.

In addition to showing the latest Hollywood blockbusters, Flix Brewhouse offers a wide variety of special features and events, including a Pro-Am homebrew competition, Brewmaster dinners, on-site Beer 101 brewing and tasting seminars, and numerous themed classic film series and interactive experiences such as dinner comedies, sing-alongs, sensory friendly shows for children with special needs and Saturday morning pajama parties. Flix Brewhouse also celebrates unique food and craft beer creations with a range of ongoing dining and tasting events, showcasing beer from other craft breweries as well as its own award-winning creations.

About Flix Brewhouse
Flix Brewhouse was founded in Round Rock, Texas in 2011 and is the world’s only first run cinema-eatery-microbrewery. As America’s Cinema Brewery, Flix Brewhouse combines the latest Hollywood productions, award winning, brewed on-premises craft beer and delicious food – all served “in theater,” on an a la carte basis, allowing the experience to be customized. The genesis of the Flix concept stems directly from consumer demand for a better, more value oriented way to watch a movie. Designed from the inside out to deliver a premium viewing and dining experience at an affordable price, Flix Brewhouse addresses the primary concern of moviegoers everywhere – the rising cost of admissions and concessions and the typically poor value realized at the conventional multiplex. The company now has four successful operating locations with new venues under construction in Little Elm, Texas, Madison, Wisconsin and Chandler, Arizona, and four more new theaters, including the Hub, in its 2019 Texas development pipeline. www.FlixBrewhouse.com
