Glenview's First Transit Oriented Multifamily Community More Than 90% Leased

GLENVIEW, IL –High Street Residential, the wholly owned subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, announces Midtown Square has achieved stabilization and is more than 90 percent leased since opening its doors in November 2014. The four-story, mixed-use project is comprised of 138 Class A luxury apartment units and approximately 9,000 square feet of first floor retail space, including a drive-thru retail bay. In addition, CorePower Yoga (CPY) opened for business in early 2015, occupying approximately 5,000 square feet of the ground floor retail.

“We are excited to have reached this point on the project,” said Johnny Carlson, Senior Vice President in High Street Residential/TCC’s Chicago Business Unit. “The leasing success we’ve been fortunate to have affirms what we hoped would be the case, which is that a luxury, amenity-rich project with neighboring retail and transit is an in-demand housing format in the suburbs. A great community like Glenview makes that an even better case.”

Midtown Square is located on 2.7 acres in Downtown Glenview and is 215,000 square feet, offering one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Unit features include balconies or patios, quartz kitchen counter tops, nine-foot ceilings, gas ranges, in-unit washers and dryers, breakfast bars and large walk-in closets. Community amenities include a clubroom, wine room, dog wash station, business center, bicycle storage, heated garage parking, storage lockers, and a 24-hour fitness center.

CorePower Yoga offers an individualized experience for every yoga student, regardless of their fitness level or familiarity with yoga to show clients the life-changing things that happen when an intensely physical workout is rooted in the mindfulness of yoga.

“CorePower Yoga was thrilled to open its doors to the Glenview community,” said Melissa DeLeo, CorePower Yoga’s Glenview Studio Manager. “We have truly found a home in Glenview. Locals connect with CPY’s focus on fitness, health and wellness, and we are lucky to get to know each person that walks through our door. The two beautiful and spacious studios gives our clients a place to chat with neighbors and catch-up with friends, both old and new and our studio offers a luxury locker room facility to get clients on with their day. Trust us, after one of our calorie-torching classes, you will be sweaty. Every new client receives a free week with no commitment; we believe in letting our classes and teachers impress you above all else. We are more than a business, we are a community, and we are beyond proud to be part of Glenview!”

The community is located off Glenview Road, and offers ingress and egress to a retail “drive-thru” and parking and is directly east of the Glenview Metra Train Station along Glenview Road, a stop for both Metra commuter rail and Amtrak.

Midtown Square won the 2013 “Best Block” Charter Award by Illinois Congress for the New Urbanism; was recognized in the top 5 Developments for 2014-2015 at the 27th Annual CRE Awards Dinner hosted by Greater Chicago Food Depository, was one of the 2015 ULI Chicago Vision Awards Finalists, and is a Finalist for NAIOP Chicago’s 28th Annual Awards for Excellence.
