Riverview at 1700 Platte Street Wins Denver Mayor's Design Award

As announced by Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, Riverview at 1700 Platte Street was honored at the 2019 Denver Mayor's Design Awards. The Mayor's office put out the following announcement about the winners:

Mayor Hancock Announces 2019 Mayor’s Design Awards Winners
Twelve transformational projects across the city highlight best in design, architecture, preservation and more

DENVER – Mayor Michael B. Hancock will honor a dozen projects during the 2019 Mayor’s Design Awards ceremony tonight at 6 p.m. at the Chambers Grant Salon of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

“These exceptional buildings and spaces are examples of design that is intentional and done with care, that improves our neighborhoods and our city, and that has the power to motivate and inspire,” Mayor Hancock said. 

Since 2005, the awards have been presented to Denver homeowners, business owners, nonprofits, artists and others for their creative contributions to the public realm through innovative design. Winners can range from community placemaking projects to adaptive reuse of historic structures to single-family residences to major mixed-use downtown buildings. Each brings something special to Denver’s unique visual fabric and speaks to our collective commitment to building healthy, sustainable communities. 

The awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at the Chambers Grant Salon of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Denver Performing Arts Complex (1400 Curtis Street).
