David Kjeldgaard

David Kjeldgaard is Managing Director, Portfolio Management & Underwriting at Trammell Crow Company, responsible for leading the firm’s portfolio management and underwriting strategy, including investment risk evaluation, capital deployment and portfolio performance across the U.S. and Europe. Kjeldgaard sits on the company’s Executive Committee and is a member and moderator of its U.S. and Europe Investment Committees, driving consistent investment decisions across all product types.

Kjeldgaard rejoined Trammell Crow Company in 2022 as Senior Director of Strategic Investments. Before that, he spent more than a decade in leadership roles at parent company CBRE. He served as Global Head of Real Estate and Investments for Hana, CBRE’s flexible workplace business, with responsibility for investments globally. He also spent nine years in CBRE Corporate Development. During his tenure in Corporate Development, the company invested in or acquired over 100 companies across the globe.

Kjeldgaard began his career at Trammell Crow Company in Dallas, where he advanced from an analyst to focusing on healthcare real estate development. In 2007, D CEO named him to its Commercial Real Estate Top 30 Under 30.

Kjeldgaard has served on the Associate Leadership Council of The Real Estate Council (TREC), the board of the Dallas Christian Leadership Prayer Breakfast and the board of the University of Oklahoma Wrestling Regional Training Center (RTC). He founded the Dallas Wildcat Wrestling Club (youth). At Oklahoma, Kjeldgaard competed for the Sooner wrestling team where both he and the team were consistently ranked among the nation’s top five.
