Greg Ames is Chief Operating Officer of Trammell Crow Company, where he provides executive leadership and strategic oversight across the organization. In this role, Ames serves as Chair of TCC’s Executive Committee, leads key functional service lines and strategic growth initiatives, and works across the organization to strengthen alignment, execution and collaboration. He is focused on delivering world-class services and resources across TCC while advancing the company’s highest-priority initiatives and supporting the continued growth and evolution of its global platform.
Previously, Ames served as Market Leader and Senior Managing Director for TCC’s Southern California market, where he was responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the company’s real estate development activities, including capital formation, investment strategy, deal generation, project financing and the day-to-day leadership of TCC’s teams in Los Angeles, Newport Beach and San Diego.
Greg joined TCC in 2004 following eight years as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy, where he directed office, retail, industrial, medical, housing, airport and military intelligence projects across the Continental United States, Pacific, Mediterranean and Caribbean theaters.
His breadth of experience across development, operations, finance, leadership and complex project execution positions him to help drive TCC’s continued growth and strengthen its ability to operate as one increasingly connected, agile and high-performing organization.
