Overview

Forged in history, the Iron District is a master-planned, 55-acre mixed-use development transforming the connection between Uptown and South End Charlotte. The site is the previous home of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, who operated in this location for more than a century. After 122 years of continuous operation in Uptown Charlotte, the company relocated and expanded to a modern facility in nearby Oakboro, NC.

TCC has been selected as Master Developer for the first phase of this prominent redevelopment project, comprised of roughly 12 acres fronting West Morehead Street. Planned for Iron District’s initial delivery is over 500 residential units, over 100,000 square feet of retail, an office building, and a hotel.
