Overview

High Street Residential ('HSR') worked together with the City of Carrollton to develop Union at Carrollton Square, a two-phase development, which includes 240,062 square feet across three buildings, which connect Carrollton residents and visitors to the historic downtown entertainment district.

Phase I, completed in 2012, consists of 179 residential units and 4,658 square feet of retail space. Phase II was completed in March 2014 and includes 132 apartment units. The entire development has access to a five-level, 155,330-square-foot parking garage with 125 public parking spaces. The development also contains 80 on-street parking spaces.

Opportunity, Solutions & Outcomes

The City of Carrollton issued a RFQ for a Master Developer for the three rail stations along the DART Green Line in November 2007. HSR was selected and moved forward in working with the City to complete concept planning and enter into a formal public-private partnership agreement.

The successful partnership between HSR and the City of Carrollton provided the City with an opportunity to add quality housing and additional density to their historic downtown.
